Finished NieR Reincarnation!
...with less than 48 hours until they shut it down.
They made a new dang Nier game! It’s just a shame it was built on top of a slot machine!
I had a genuinely great time with it though - I started a few weeks ago after they shut off transactions and jacked up all the odds and multipliers, and was able to breeze comfortably though all three main story arcs. They start doing some really fantastic stuff as it goes along, culminating in events that tie into Replicant and Automata in some really fun ways. I have a feeling that whenever the next console Nier game comes along, I’ll be very glad I saw this for real(-ish).
I wish they would just leave the game up in this state - there’s a lot more side-stories that I’d be happy to pick away at, but I guess I’ll just have to read them on a wiki.
